Hello everyone!
It feels absolutely amazing! I still cannot believe it. Israel and I have been together now for a year and a half. We are completely head over heels in love, but I did not suspect anything!
I just got discharged from the hospital about two weeks ago. I was really sick in the ICU. Israel only worked a half a day so he could be with me in the hospital. I was crying because I was in pain and my nurse had not come with my pain medication yet. Israel sat beside me and held my had and said that everything would be okay. He then said that once I got out of the hospital things would be different. I asked how he knew and he said because he would make sure of it. He said he would always be there for me. He got down on one knee and reached for his pocket and asked me to marry him. I was in completely awe and started crying again. I said yes! my heart monitors started beeping because my heart rate started elevating and the nurses came in asking if I was okay. I said, "Of course I am, I'm engaged!"
Israel initially had something planned in Key West, Florida, but I was in the ICU and he was scared. I'm glad my proposal came out the way it did. I started to heal quickly soon after!
