  IMHO, there is a huge difference in fake vs. real unless you pay for high quality silks. But at that point, the cost is not much different. We are using Val Brooks. We are getting 5 BM bouquets, my bouquet, a ton of coursages/bouts, and 9 bunches of bulk flowers for our reception and paying a little more than your budget. I'd be willing to share the exact pricing via PM if you'd like. Another alternative is ordering via Sam's Club online and putting them together yourself. As long as you choose simple flowers and don't want anything crazy, this is a very cost effective option. A lot of girls on my month board are using Sam's and have been very happy with the samples they ordered.

  I'm mixing sola flowers in with my real flowers with my bouquets.  They're actually made of balsa or tapioca wood and they look really cool when you see them.  They're also really cheap!  You can buy them from save-on-crafts for around $5 for 15-20 flowers.   If you google image search it, you can find more pictures, but here is a website that shows them alone and mixed in with real flowers.

  I am partial to real, and I'm getting all of my flowers in bulk from fiftyflowers.com and costco.com - costco by far has the best price for bulk roses. You have to do a little digging and research on flower types, but I'm doing a reception, 5 bridesmaids, and me for about $300. And the people on fiftyflowers live chat are the absolute best!
