So...i come home after a long day at work and check the mail. I have 1 RSVP which disappoints me a little, but i know comes with the territory! I get upstairs to my apt and see that there is a UPS sticky on the kitchen counter. FI has been waiting for some CDs from France for about 1 week now so i'm thinking that they finally came in since i called about them this morning.
I get to the front office and the guy comes out with a HUGE box and asks me if he can bring it to my car. I immediately start freaking out...im like...is this a bomb or something? I didnt order anything....so i look on the top of the box to see who its from, and the package is from Macys! I figured it was my parents that bought me a gift and wanted to send it to my apt now, even though i told them that if they were to buy me a gift they could just leave it at their house since we will be leaving Tampa pretty soon. They already got us a comforter set i had asked for (it was 350 and went on sale for 99 and said "limited quantity" so i told them to please go to the store and purchase it LOL) son i thought maybe they bought some extra pillows as a surprise or something.
I drive home from the leasing office and didnt realize how heavy the box was. I live on the 2nd floor so i had to ask a guy to bring it up to my apt. I open the box...and i see a whole bunch of big boxes and stuff wrapped...i look inside and see a receipt...and im wondering WHO THE HE!! bough this stuff?! I start opening it...and it ends up being the set of everyday dinnerware I asked for! Im still searching...and FINALLY i find a card... it's from an 80 year old relative of mine who is taking the bus from NY (i dont know why she doesn't take a plane) to come to the wedding! She bought all 8 that i asked for! So i now have 8 place settings that were extremely pretty that cost a pretty penny for simple everyday dinnerware!
I am extremely ecstatic and so grateful that this lady and her daughter bought a gift for us! I truly wasn't expecting something in the mail today, and poor Carl still hasn't received his CDs! LOL
