Let the mailbox stalking begin!!! 

I never thought this day would come!  I'm a little nervous though because FI mailed them, and after it's been raining all day he put them in the outside mailbox as opposed to taking them inside and putting them in the indoor dropbox.  I am *praying* they are not runied with rainwater. 

I'm also a little freaked out because we did not number the response cards.  Call me an idiot, but I had never heard of this!!!  Now I'm all worried people will not write in their names and we will have no-namers getting food.  People on my July 2010 board were talking about this... I seriously never head of this until today (after we mail them of course)!  Uh-oh...  Did any of you number/not number the response cards?  You think I'll be okay?

    Hopefully you will be ok, and people will do what they are supposed to do.  Or that most people will fill it out correctly so you don't have to call everyone on your guest list to get it straightened out!
     
     I never heard about numbering them until a few months ago.  I dont even have my invites yet, so hopefully before I send them out I remember to do this!

    Congratulations!  I would totally be stalking my mailbox daily!  That's so exciting!
    I'm sure they are fine with the rain-usually the mail people keep a pretty close hold on them. 
    I haven't heard about numbering either, but my wedding isn't till October so I'm not at that stage yet-it sounds like a good idea but I wouldn't worry about not doing it-hopefully people write their names on the RSVPs...

    They'll figure it out.  And if they don't, you'll still be able to figure out who to call.

    I put the individual names on the RSVPs so RSVP issues were more related to forgetting to RSVP by the RSVP date, getting lost by USPS and a couple said the RSVP card was missing.  I'm really confused about the ones where the RSVP card was missing because I double checked that all of the invites had them and I didn't end up with any of the personalized cards left over.  I guess they either stuck to the envelope or the envelope came open in transit.

    yay for getting the invites out!  happy mailbox stalking. 

    not numbering the rsvps isn't the end of the world, but be prepared to receive a few back that don't have names on them.  hopefully they'll put a return address label or something on the envelope when they mail it back.

    Thanks everybody... still hoping they are not wet.  Ugh.  Maybe the pearl lining or whatever of the inner envelops is waterproof?  lol 

    If we have to call everybody then we will... you live and learn I guess when it comes to wedding planning.  Not numbering the RSVPs is not the end of the world, just something I wish I would have known about!

    Funny you mention that - I just picked up our invites yesterday (yay!!) and the lady said, "Now make sure you number them so you know whose is whose."  And I was thinking that she was out of her mind if she thought I was going to do that! :)

    So hopefully neither of us will have problems with guests not writing their names...I'll cross my fingers for us! :)

    I numbered my RSVP cards, but everyone signed their names so there was no problems.  I think you'll be fine!

    Yay! That's so exciting that you sent them out.
    I had actually heard of numbering them, but sure I will forget by the time I do mine!

    Don't worry about the rain :) I am sure its fine. Do you have any pictures of the ifnal product?
