We are still unwrapping and putting away shower and wedding gifts, and I have to say that by far, Crate & Barrel was my favorite place to register for gifts. They package everything just the way you would expect a store to do so for shipping. Your gifts that have been sent to you arrive in perfect condition because they are properly packaged for shipping. I won't go into details, but Macys could learn a thing or two about packaging their products for shipping. I actually received a few packages from Macys that included a box put inside of a bigger box, no peanuts, no paper, no bubblewrap, nothing. I had a couple of pieces from Macys that were damaged, and when I took them back to exchange, I told them that if they were packaged properly they wouldn't have been damaged during shipping, but they couldn't have cared less. This is turning into a rant against Macys, and I do miss Marshall Fields SO much, but I really do love Crate & Barrel. They get my top vote for registries, it was a great experience start to finish.
