LA Knotties - Need y our expertise on photography

Hey Knotties,
I need your expertise. I’m looking for the best place to take photos in the LA area. This can be wedding or engagement photos. Also, tell me why. Does the place have great lighting? Filled with nature? Modern buildings? What makes it unique to where you live? I’ll be using your Knot name, btw.

    Our engagement session was far from modern.  We had ours at the Santa Barbara courthouse.  It made for some amazing lighting inside, plus the architecture had a nice variety - some areas had a vintage feel (like an old fashioned phone booth), and other areas had a spanish feel similar to that of the California missions.  And what knottie doesn't think amidst their planning that they should just go get hitched at the courthouse?!?

    The outdoor Urban Lights installation at LACMA is my perfect spot. - the restored lampposts are vintage Los Angeles but the parallel lines they create are so modern!

    We took our engagement pictures at The Getty. Neither one of us had been there but we had always heard how beautiful it was. The buildings are tall and unique and made wonderful backdrops for our session. There are so many different areas where you can shoot such as the garden, the grass area, the various buildings and walkways and the view of the mountaints where you can shoot. I would have to recommend having more than just two hours for your shoot so you can cover all of The Getty to get some amazing daytime as well as sunset shots.
