Invitations & Honeymoon!

Yesterday, we put the down payment on our honeymoon with the help of my wonderful Mother who supports us to the ends of the Earth! She let us put the down payment on her credit card until I receive my trust fund $$ to pay her back!!

She also allowed us to order our invitations on her credit card!

So, we are officially heading to Hawaii on May 21st!!!!

    Congrats, I know thats big weight off your plate!  We're going to Hawaii too on the 26th...  We'll probably be super tired, our flight is at 7am!

    We are getting married on the 18th, and we didn't want to leave the very next day. So we're waiting until the 21st..(plus we heard flights are a little cheaper on Tues/Wed/Thur). We are flying from Rochester, NY at 0800 to Chicago, Chicago to San Fran, San Fran to Maui. We'll be in Maui until the 26th at the Ka'anapali Resort on the west coast of Maui. We're taking an Inner Island flight to Honolulu on the 26th, we'll spend the time in Honolulu celebrating Shawn's (my soon to be HUSBAND!'s birthday) on the 28th and we leave Honolulu to come back to the east coast at 730 pm and will return back to Rockester at 12 noon on the 30th.

    We were told not to go to just Honolulu if we wanted to experience the "true Hawaii" because Honolulu is much like Brooklyn with how it's set up with hotels. And, they compared it to a local town in our area. So we're splitting our time between the 2 islands. We planned it through a travel agent & she got flighst, 2 hotels, inner island flight, a luau, pearl harbor excusrion, rental car in maui, and transport from the airport in honolulu for the same price I found flight, hotel and rental car for 9 days on one island..SUPER GOOD DEAL!

    Whoever told you this is correct.  Honolulu has lots to see and do, but it is a city and is very different than the other islands.  Enjoy your HM!!

    You are going to LOVE Maui! It's my favorite island outta of em all! Waikiki is where you'll be at with all the hotels. Honolulu is like the business district where the courts, businesses, etc. are and traffic there is awful. Lol. You'll love waikiki if you're going to be there to party though! The bars close at 4am. There's a great local place called Arnold's to go to check it out. :D
