Save The Date

I was wondering if anyone knew any creative save the date ideas. I am getting married July 3, 2011 and I know I still have time to do everything with them but I wanted to try to think of fun ideas especially since it is a holiday weekend so they need to be sent out sooner than they normally would need to be sent out.

  • I would check out the DIY board and you can check out people's bio's.

  • I really love the library themed save the dates, but FI was not as keen.  Not sure if this suits your personality or wedding plans.

  • Tickets or a "passport" for destination weddings are cute.  For the 4th of July, something to do with fireworks, or the pool, or even a jucy watermelon could be cute.  Just start googling with words you think might help & see what you get.

  • I'm getting married the same weekend, we have recently started looking at those too. I am doing postcards that are super customizable from http://www.savethedatemagic.com/

we made a few options and are going to send out a variety of save the date postcards (mostly cuz we couldn't decide lol)

  • I just finished our save the date business card sized magnets.  I used one of our engagement pics and found the sheets of magnets at onlinelabels.com that you can put through an inkjet printer, and they have templates on the website so you can make sure things are lined up correctly.  This took some time because I designed it in photoshop, and then decided to add an info card with hotel recommendations because we are having a destination wedding. I did the info cards 4 to a sheet and cut them myself with an xacto and straight edge.  It definitely takes some trial and error to get the magnets printed just right.
