Wilmington Florist

Hey Ladies,
Let's talk flowers, something that I thought would NEVER make me want to cry, but I'm almost there.  I have been in contact with three different florist in the Wilmington, NC area and I would like any feedback y'all have. The four I'm dealing with are Bloomer's (Debra Graham), Island Florals (Roxanne), Fiore Flowers (I'm waiting on a quote from them) and Moxie (Cythnia)
My wedding party is large and I also need flowers for mother's, father's, and godparents.  I'm not using any flowers for the church or reception.  What are your thoughts on these florist ladies?!?  I'm in Raleigh and I don't know if I will able to meet with any before I have to actually book one, since my date is apparently a popular date, some florist are already booked!  Thank ladies!!!

Hi! I used Verzaal's florist in wilmington and they were incredible!! Everything was perfect and Roberta really worked with me to help find exactly what I wanted (She even made a quick mock-up of what my bouquet would look like so I could get a sense of how it would look!) I haven't heard of/used the florists above, so I am sorry I can't help there, but definitely look into Verzaal's if you get the chance!

I am using Fiore Fine Flowers. They are absolutely AMAZING. It doesn't matter what your budget looks like, they are willing to make it happen for you. The staff.. also amazing. I am so excited to see my flowers come the 11th of November.

I'm using Julia's Florist, and our flower planner there has been phenomenal.  We're from Charlotte, so we're also doing the long-distance planning thing, and Amy has been in constant communication with us every step of the way.  She spent over an hour meeting with us after their shop had already closed for the day, going over every detail of the wedding, what we would need, what we liked, etc.  She sent us a proposal with three different options for each bouquet/boutonniere/corsage/etc. with pictures of each option and gave us the opportunity to make changes here and there as necessary to make the flowers our own.

We also met with Moxie and had an extremely professional meeting, however it was not personal AT ALL.  We really had no specific plans for the flowers we wanted, other than some photos we had brought with us, and the person we met with glanced at them, then set them aside without another look.  We received one very basic quote from them without any real flexibility, and it seemed almost too businesslike, especially since our wedding is a fairly casual affair.

We went to the Cape Fear Wedding Show last fall and saw Fiore Fine Flowers there, but didn't care for the fact that it seemed "all about money" to them.  When we explained that we were having a small wedding on the beach with our family & friends and would only be needing flowers for the wedding party itself, it seemed like they tuned us out.  Certainly not the ideal reaction for someone who is trying to do business with you...

In any case, I hope your search goes well.  Good luck!
