How should you store your dress slip and veil until the big day? I have my veil now and my dress in September and I will be getting married May 2013 and want to avoid yellowing.

    I don't think they'll yellow.  Just keep them in the garment bag in a closet, or somewhere other than in direct sunlight.  Like pp said, heavier dresses should be laid flat.  I've had my dress (the one I bought and am trying to sell currently) since January for a May 2013 wedding, and it still looks as good as the day we picked it up from the store.  Yellowing shouldn't happen in months, I'm pretty sure that takes years.

    even an old bed sheet pinned over the dress should work.  i've got mine in a plastic dycleaners bag which is terrible...but it's at the back of my closet and my mom had actually put the dress through the wash about a year ago.

    You'll be fine as long as it's in a garment bag in a climate controlled enviroment.  My dress has been hanging in a closet for 6 years and it still looks perfect for my wedding in August.

    Is the store you purchased it from unable to store it until you wedding or a few weeks/days before?   Some are very accommodating and willing to this, you should check.
