Busty Bridesmaid!

I have a bridesmaid that is big chested. I made the mistake of letting the bridesmaids pick their own dresses, now she has picked a strapless dress that shows way too much cleavage. I have told her that she must get it altered so that it covers everything but she is hell bent on showing the goods. I'm still afraid that she is going to be baring too much at the wedding. Not to sound bridezilla but I want the focus to be on me, not her boobs and I know that she is going to try and get attention especially from the single guys. Any suggestions on how to deal with this?

Let it go. Nothing will take the focus off you. You let them pick out the dress, so I don't think you should push this. Besides who cares if she wants attention of the single guys. Let her have fun.

I am busty. It is hard for busty girls to find dresses that we feel good in. She followed the dress guidelines, so I think you should just let her wear the one she found.

No one will upstage you no matter how big their boobs are.

The ONLY instance where I think you might have a leg to stand on here is if you are marrying in a Church that has some sort of dress code or where this dress would be inappropriate. IF that is the case, I think mentioning to her that your Church has a dress code/would not allow that type of attire would be OK. But if that isn't the case, then let her wear it.

Just let it go. The focus will be on you because you are the bride. Also, all the people that go to your weding are there to see you and your new husband, they aren't there to see her.

I completely undrstand your concern! I don't think it makes you a bridezilla! This is YOUR day, and if your BM's boobs hanging out makes you uncomfortable, then you have every right to say something.

I have bad news for you: there is no way for large chested girls not to look boobalicious in a gown. She's not trying to be difficult, she's just not able to comply with your demands. Any alterations that are done to cover them up will just draw more attention to them, because it's obvious what is going on. More fabric = more surface area = drawing the eye.

If you continue to make a big deal out of it, she's going to get more and more embarrassed about something that people have probably harrassed her about all her life. Take it from someone who knows first hand. We don't get to wear nice clothing without getting scorn and slander most-times.
