Anyone have suggestions for an outdoor ceremony with reception space inside or out in the Hampton Roads area, Williamsburg area or Outer banks/ Manteo.
Particullary over looking water but not actually being on the beach ?!

Try The Colonial Heritage Club in Williamsburg, VA http://www.colonialheritageclub.com/Weddings. It's by a lake.

Also, try The Settlement at Powhatan Creek in Williamsburg, VA. It's also by a lake & you can bring in your own caterer. http://thesettlement.net/lifestyles/ClubhouseLeasing.html.

Another one you can try is The Historic Obici House in Suffolk, VA. Depending on how many people you invite, you may have to split them up in different adjacent rooms. Also, you have to use their onsite catering. This one is also on a lake. http://www.thehistoricobicihouse.com/.

Try the Dolphin room (not sure of their #) or The Pierside 757-965-2369. They're both in VA Beach... Good luck!

Check out the Smithfield Center. I had my April 2012 reception there and it was awesome!! They are very affordable and in a quaint little town. We made it a semi destination wedding and our guests loved it! The pictures on their site haven't all been updated yet but they have new beautiful floors, and have painted.
