Whew, that's over with! :)

So I'm back from the shower hosted by FMIL's co-workers.

It was actually okay, I met lots of new people. They made me open gifts RIGHT AWAY! A bit awkward, but that was okay since we were at a restaurant and going to eat after the gifts were opened.

They made me take home 6 pieces of cupcakes, 6 pieces of better than sex cake pieces, a vase of flowers, and 6 balloons haha.

I'm so FULL!!

So we aren't supposed to use our gifts until after the wedding, right??

I'll have to say the wooden serving tray was my most favorite gift. I LOVE wooden things like bowls, trays, platters, etc. Oh and the begonia- I was quite surprised to get a plant, it's our first plant at our new house

The thank you cards have been written, all done with that too!

So tell me, is that cake really better than sex?? Hahaha! What flavor is it anyway?

I love your begonia gift btw! It may not be very common but I find it to be super sweet. It's like the idea is to make your new house more like a home you know? At least that's what it made me think of! Very sweet

I think it is! Haha, I was saying that I should get home and say "nope, sorry I've had something better than sex, go away."

I agree, I thought the gift was very thoughtful! I just hope I don't kill it :)

You could say that again. FI ate THREE HUGE slices of it last night plus a cupcake haha. I'm glad he did because now there's less left for me.

But I swear they're so good- make a small batch some day!

Better Than Sex cake, it's so easy to make too!

As for the gifts, I've broken that rule already. I've started using some of my shower gifts from the shower in April. I figure they are shower gifts not wedding gifts, so I'm using them
