Beach House or Villa Rental for wedding or reception or both?

Hello Knotties! Has anyone ever rented a beach house or villa to have the reception at or both the wedding and the reception? Wanting to hear ideas and recommendations.

    We looked into both options, but found that very few permitted events and even fewer could accommodate the size of party we were looking to have. We ended up settling on a small resort, where we could "take over" the entire property by booking all the rooms with our guests (and overflow booked at nearby hotels).

    My friend just got married at la fiesta in Islamorada and it was awesome. They have a large house you can rent and use the "backyard" for the reception. It's right on the beach and beautiful. Most of the guests from Miami stayed the weekend and took over the whole resort
