OK so this weekend my mom came up to visit since my shower was cancelled a few weeks ago due to hurricane irene. I did not think we were going to be able to reschedule since a lot of people could not coordinate another weekend day and my mom was flying up from FL and had limited time frames, so we decided she would come up and we would just do a small weekend visit, go to Atlantic City, go to a nice dinner etc. Well we did all of this and then on Sunday, my mom said she wanted to come with me to FMIL house to say hello since they don't get to see each other, living in different states and all, I thought it was kind of weird (they arent friends or anything but figured, ok). When I showed up they had planned a surprise shower for me, only about 1/3 of the original guest list was able to come, it was in their backyard LOL BUT it was a shower none the less.
