ideas for a song to walk down the aisle to...

My FH and myself don't want to use the traditional wedding march when I walk down the aisle. Any suggestions on songs that we could use instead? Thanks in advance for your help!   :)

  • I walked down to "In Your Eyes" by Peter Gabriel, my girls walked to "Here Comes the Sun" by the Beatles, and our recessional was "Star Wars: Throne Room," all performed by string trio.

  • My FI plays bass guitar, his weapon of choice, but at home he plays electric and acoustic guitar and the song I will walk to will be him playing pledging my love on the guitar, no singing, just music, he has it recorded and the DJ will play it
  • I'm thinking about a transsiberian orchestra song for my procession, or an instrumental celtic or unplugged version of rock. I'm pretty sure my recessional will be 'first snow' by tso.
  • We are very non-traditional as well and I walked down the aisle to I Wanna Grow Old With You by Adam Sandler.

  • I am walking down to "Marry Me" from Train.  probably outdone at this point but I love it and the first time i heard it, I knew it was what I wanted to walk down the aisle too.
