Wedding Coordinator and St. Patricks Chruch

I am looking for a “day of” wedding coordinator.  I have spoken to Julie Buhrer and got a quote of $1,000, is this average?  Does anyone have any suggestions?  I am also getting married at St. Patrick’s Church which does not allow outside wedding coordinator, anyone have any experience dealing with this?

    I'm not using a coordinator, but the way it was explained to me is that you may have a coordinator, but she may not run the rehearsal or interfere the day of.

    i was going to get a day of planner too, but thought about it and talked to the coordinator at my reception place and he said it would be silly since Anne at St. Pats will do everything there and he would take care of everything at the reception place. Plus he made a good point that sometimes when you have 2 people doing the same job, something can fall through the cracks because each one could think the other is doing it.
