Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone knew of any bands, preferably a guitarist and possibly violinist, etc, with or without vocals to do basically background music for our wedding?

    DD used a string trio from String Theory for the ceremony, they are high school and early college students and are very good and reasonably priced.  www.stringtheoryokemos.com.

    During cocktail hour, we had Fred Knapp Trio, a jazz quartet, play and they were awesome.  the Facebook page is Fred Knapp Trio.

    Another option is to contact the College of Music at MSU.  They have a gigline link on their webpage with names of students that are available to hire.

    thank you sooo much for the help! I am looking into all three of them!!!  By chance, do you know how much it was to book the Fred Knapp Trio band for your coctail hour?

    We paid $675 for 2 hours for 4 musicians.  They played for the cocktail hour and during dinner.  The price will vary, based on how many people you want in the group.  Fred is really easy to work with.
