Stagette Planning Help Please

Hi Ladies, my MOH just got engaged and has planned her wedding for Oct. She threw me an awesome shower/stagette, so I'm hoping to do the saem for her, but no shower (her request). Anyway, here's what I've got so far, and I'd love some extra ideas. I'm looking at a dinner/event at a house (pole dancing, sex-toy party, similar), then to a local pub to watch the hockey game and stay there for dancing.

I'm hoping to do a fishing theme - she's a fisheries biologist, their first official date was a fishing trip and he proposed on a fishing trip as well. I'm thinking along the lines of a fishermans hat with veil, vest, etc., and maybe something like "she caught her man and reeled him in" or something similarly cheesy.

Her ideal would be a weekend away at a cabin, but we are all having to travel for her wedding the weekend after, and she doesn't want to inconvenience people with money and kids. Not sure if we can re-create something similar in the city. Thanks in advance for your creative ideas ladies!!

  • To try to recreate the cabin in the city, you could book a hotel room for one night and then you still have that "getaway" feel. I would just check with those you plan on inviting and see where they stand on that, and if it's something anyone would want to/be able to afford doing.

You could also (if you are OK with it) host them at your house to spend the night.

  • I don't mind having everyone over for the night, but lots of the girls have kids, so I"m sure they'll go home. I just found out that one of the other girls offering to help lives in the city community with a lake, so if it's nice, we might end up there during the day to do some fishing/hang out.

[QUOTE]I would NOT do a sex toy party. Those things are horrible to sit through and pressure guests to make purchases. If she WANTS pole dancing lessons, go for it, but know that they are pricey. When a friend did it a few years ago, it was like 60 per person and that was to go to the studio. I had to skip the party because I couldn't afford that on top of dinner and drinks.

Sorry Stage, just to clarify, do you mean a pole dancing studio?? We've got both studios and in home here, and I was much mor eimpressed with the in house one I attended. Not sure about the sex toy party as we've all been to several in our 20's and it might be a little redundant.
