Hey everyone! I'm new to this board, thanks to the lovely RyansBeloved.

I'm so excited that this board exists!!!

So, I read in the "roll call thread" about introductions so, I guess, here goes:

First Name for you & FI: Ellie and Justin
Wedding Date: July 14th, 2012
Special Religious Ceremony if any at your Wedding -i.e. Sand, Unity Candle/ 3
Stranded Cord, etc.: Considering sand. Any other ideas are welcome!!!
City You Live In: We both live and go to school in Southern California, and the wedding will be in small-town Northwest Iowa.
Wedding Dress Color if You picked it: Ivory.
Wedding Colors if You picked them: Pale pink, chocolate brown, ivory, and hints of sage green at the reception.

Fave Bible Verse: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. -Philippians 4:13.

Justin and I are both training for full-time church work at a private Lutheran college. He's a music major (guitar emphasis) and preparing to direct worship arts, and I'm a double major in Christian education and pre-medicine. Our faith is such an important part of our lives, and we're excited to give back to our Savior by serving Him indefinitely in Uganda. We're hoping to start a mission headquarters and hospital there. If any of you know what Lutheran World Mission is, I'm really hoping I can promote some awesome postive changes within that organization. What they do is amazing, and I really hope Justin and I can get the opportunity to work with them and provide some insight from our own mission experiences.

Anyway, I'll stop rambling now. I'm so excited to get to know you all and hear all about your weddings!

Hi and welcome! When are you graduating and/or when are you planning to head to Uganda?

I'm kind of in planning limbo with the distance at the moment, but I have my dress, ceremony and reception venue, officiant booked, flowers ordered, bridesmaids dresses picked out, and my fiance has all of his and his groomsmen's things selected. We have a music theme - I'm doing lots of handmade decorations with aged sheet music and using an old acoustic guitar and it's case for the guestbook and card box. Right now we're planning our honeymoon while we wait to get back into planning. We're going to Black Hills in South Dakota to do lots of caving and rock climbing. I'm super excited since I haven't been there since I was really little, so I couldn't do a lot of the adventureous stuff!

We both graduate in 2014 (we're in five year programs), and then we have a one-year internship whereever the school places us after that. Then we're hoping to start working with Lutheran World Mission or another organization and planning to head overseas. So, so, so excited!

And I'm super excited about this board, too! Thanks for the warm welcomes!
