Flower Market in NYC?

Hi everyone,

I am having a small wedding with only 30 guests.  My 2 friends have offered to go to the flower marketing on my wedding day and put together my bouquet and centerpieces (there will only be 4 tables).  Has anyone else gotten their wedding flowers from the flower market? If so, is there a specific store/person they recommend dealing with?  Is there anything we should keep in mind when selecting flowers?

Any suggestions would be great!!

    what type of flowers are you looking for? colors? etc. etc.

    try essex street market for flowers. also bjays sell flowers wholesale check out their website.

    i believe theres a whole sale flower market in chelsea too.
