Searching for a non-cheesy DJ

Does anyone have any recommendations for any non-cheesy DJ's in the South Jersey area? As in, talking only when necessary, no giant signs promoting their company, no inflatable props or hats, etc. We're just looking for something a little more classy, and unfortunately, New Jersey seems to be a breeding ground for the cheesiest wedding DJs of all time! Any info would be great! Thanks!

You should be able to spell out all you want and don't want with any DJ you choose.  While the signs promoting their company may be unavoidable, you should be able to get all of your other wishes put into your contract with the company you choose.  Good luck in your search!

We are using Dinardo Brothers based out of Sewell - I was looking for the same thing (lack of cheesiness) and they seem pretty good.  It's a bunch of teachers who do it part time for extra $$

Our DJ has offices in both Staten Island and Jersey but our wedding was in SJ (The Merion) so I know they work down there and I cannot say enough GOOD THINGS about the service they provided. I wanted the exact same thing - I seriously wanted a WEDDING dj, not a Sweet 16 DJ. No props, no line dances, no forcing people out on the dance floor but playing music that got everyone out there on their own and they did exactly that. The music selection was perfect cause we had an online music planner with lists of must play songs, do not play songs and if there's enough time, can we play this. They customized our entrance song, helped track down a song we couldn't find ANYWHERE and so much more! Their website is http://www.platwed.com They ONLY do weddings so they're really professional and they were literally the best thing about our wedding!

We used Centerstage Entertainment for our wedding almost a year ago.  Specifically we used Sean and he was amazing.  All of them were.  Sean did a great job, not cheesy at all, he stuck to what we wanted and clear all things by us before doing anything that was off the plan.  And they were very well priced....they were $200 cheaper than the other DJ we had booked and thats with loosing our deposit with the crappy other DJ.  They were amazing and I honestly cant say enough good things about them!

I'm using No Macarena DJ (haha) at my wedding. They're based in Philadelphia, and their prices are decent. I have heard nothing but good things about this DJ company - a girl my mom knows had used them and she LOVED them.

We used the  Dinardo Brothers. They play whatever you want, and any cheesy song you do not like is out. We did not like line dances or crazy props, and they did not do it. They really cater to you and your guest. Our DJ John kept the party pumping till the very end of our wedding, and all of our guest have done nothing but rave
