August 2012 Weddings

What is left on your checklist as of now?

I think it would be nice to start a thread to see where everyone is as far as what's left to do. I'll go first

Have BM's get their shoes from Payless- dyeables
Design Photo share cards in VistaPrint
Find memorial bouquet pendant to put Gma's picture in
Purchase throw garter, ring bearer pillow and aisle runner
Order crystals for DIY Crafty Eddy cake topper & assemble
Put together flip flop basket
Get items for bathroom baskets & put together
Order photo book from Shutterfly for our "guest book"
Design seating chart- have printed @ Staples & purchase easel and frame
Purchase Jam favors from local Amish
Have favor tags printed by printing shop & tie on with ribbon
Get our rings!
Purchase all alcohol for reception
Print Day of pocketfold for guys
Order groom's cake
Create table numbers

*sigh* How to have a full time job and get all of this done!?? I need to get my butt in gear!

Your turn

Re: What is left on your checklist as of now?

    • Mail out invitations from relatives that live further away. (It's a boxed invitation so mailing would cost so much more than delivering them personally)
    • Visit a local historic castle and fill out paperwork to obtain the license to have some of our wedding day pictures taken there.
    • Find a rehearsal dinner location.
    • Finish covering books that will be part of our table decor
    • Pick out my menu and linens at the venue (I have an appt for next tuesday)
    • Type up the menu and program to send for printing as well as my table numbers
    • Work on music list for both ceremony and reception
    • Go to the church to finalize the ceremony
    • Book a honeymoon after first deciding a location
    • Groom still needs to pick out tuxes (I hate that I have no control over that)
    • Finish packaging favors
    • Buy bp jewelry
    • Obtain marriage license, a more recent birth certificate and first communion certificate.

Okay I give up. There's so much more, and as I'm listing I'm getting anxious.

Ugh! I feel like you guys have so much done! Everytime I complete a task or a payment, my momentary pat on the back is interrupted by all the other zillion things I still have left to do.  These include:

order bridesmaid gifts off of etsy
order the pies for dessert (we don't like cake)
print menus, seating chart, table numbers, and place cards
finish designing, print, and assemble programs
apply for and obtain marriage license
obtain alcohol and champagne for reception
obtain non-alcoholic beverages for the same
purchase favors without breaking budget with shipping costs
    finalize wedding ceremony with officient
finalize "play/do not play" list with DJ
