Naples Florida outdoor reception venue

I am looking for some suggestions for an outdoor reception site in Naples Florida. We are having a beach ceremony (already planned) but need to lock in a reception site. I am not feeling the ballroom or country club feel. I had a friend of a friend tell me about attending a reception in a boathouse. Something outside is what we would prefer, either in a tent or poolside. We have about 65-75 guests expected for our destination wedding. Any advice or suggestions would be great. (semi-affordable Laughing)

Post this on your local board ( links to the left) they will be able to help more than an international board can.

The Botanical Gardens?  Also I would think many hotels or even country clubs could accommodate a tent or pool side outdoor reception of that size without being in  a ballroom setting.  For instance Mediterra Country Club  has absolutely  beautiful grounds and may be able to do an event like that.  Good luck!

I live in Naples but I'm having my wedding on Ft. Myers Beach. I would look for a hotel on 5th Ave. They have alot of hotels that you can do a roof top wedding. I was thinking of doing something like that. Good luck!!

The Marco Island Marriott has a rooftop for receptions - we looked at it and it was beautiful, overlooking the Gulf. Unfortunately we're doing a morning ceremony/brunch and there was no shade so we went with another venue.

Marco Island really isn't that far.

Also, the Naples Beach & Golf Club on 41 has a chickee hut by the pool where they do receptions. They showed us pictures of it decorated for an evening event with candles and it looked very nice!

Ooh the botanical gardens, I didn't think of that one!  Thinkingpink, do you know how expensive it is?  Or which one is most affordable?

You should check out the Tarpon Cove Yacht Club.  I looked at their poolside area there... very nice and affordable!  Good luck!

I looked at the Ritz and there are a few other hotels along the beach that can do outside by the water - I think it was the Naples Beach Club & Hotel that had a really nice, big green lawn by the ocean, that you could do something outside that would be really nice. Golf clubs are another solution. Besides that, I'm not sure what else is available in Naples - maybe Naples Princess, or the Zoo.  We looked at the Zoo for the Rehearsal Dinner, it's a little rough around the edges but different at least, and the venue backs up to the Lion exhibit which is kind of fun.

Hope that helps. I went the Club route because it was just a lot easier in terms of coordinating food, plates, etc.

Btw, the Club route can be a more affordable route because they don't charge a venue fee usually...
