Local Community Center or Parks for Rent??? (OKC Area)

We are on a tight budget and was curoius if anyone has looked into a community center and/or a park for their wedding and reception. We live in the Mustang/Yukon area and both cities have a gazebo you can rent out for your ceremony with their community center close by for a reception place.

Mustang -
I think it was like $50 for the gazebo and $150 for the community center. The gazebo is right next to a high traffic road and that was a big turn off to us.

Yukon -
The Gazebo and the park is beautiful! We even have thought about having our entire wedding outside at the Gazebo (But our wedding is in late august and would be hot). Downfall.... No alcohol allowed! We are drinkers and our families are to. Not drunks but a couple of drinks would be nice. You knwo what i mean.

I just thought if anyone has checked into parks or community centers for wedding lcoations they coudl post their information to help myself as well as other brides.

Thanks for your help!!!

I know you can rent/reserve pavilions at Reeve's Park in Norman - it's on Robinson and....Sooner, I think....fairly rustic, but there are bathrooms, there's a pretty little lake, and I think it's really cheap, if not free.  Just watch out for the neighboring dog park!

Find a local park for the ceremony and look into a local American Legion Post or a VFW. I know at the American Legion Post that I'm a member of, alcohol is allowed, but it may be different for each place.

    HTH!
