Weather watch

Anyone else watching the weather forecast like a hawk??  Today was the first day I could actually see the forecast for our wedding day and it says clear and sunny skies!!  I just didnt want any sort of a storm.  We still dont have any snow which is really strange for CT, but oh well.  I am just glad it will be a beautiful day!  :)

Nope.  I won't even watch as it gets closer.  There will be a wedding on the 15th if it means I'm walking to the church that day and that her, I, and the pastor are the only ones there.
  • Ours says cloudy with a high of 32 degrees. :( Hopefully the forecast will change as we get closer to the date. Chicago weather has been all sorts of weird lately.
  • Our area is just sad.  We normally don't get accumulation of snow and when we do it normally melts in a few hours.  The other day we had really light flurries (could barely see them) and one of the local malls shutdown.

Being from Ohio and having lived in Maine, I find it pretty amusing myself.  Hence my comments about showing up at the church regardless....lol
  • I've been on weather watch since we hit the month of January! We've been having beautiful weather here for over a week now. Its been in the high 70's to low 80s. I am keeping my fingers crossed and have been saying a little prayer to the weather gods that our wedding day has a high of around 82. This way it will still be nice out when the sun goes down.

  • I've been watching the weather too. We really want a little bit of snow but it doesn't look like that will happen because the 10 day forcast shows a high of 45 or higher each day. The only way we will get snow is if the temperature does a nose dive.

  • I am hoping it snows the day before my wedding. It would make for some beautiful pictures. I'm getting married no matter what the weather is like and I will take it anyway it comes.

it looks like snow for Denver maybe Saturday night into Sunday morning.  I am hoping for it - I have tons of family in town from England and they will be disappointed if they have come all this way and there aren't any flakes!

  • I'm in CT too!

I've been watching the weather. I hope it takes a dive and snows a little before the wedding.

We're the same as Mark, though, we're showing up, and as long as our justice can get there, we're getting married. And we'll have them box up all the food and take it home.

My shower was Hurricane Irene, FIs bachelor party was the freak CT snowstorm that shut the state down for weeks. Not quite sure what's going to happen on our wedding day. 80 and sunny??
  • I watched the weather every day up until my wedding.  It ranged from sunny and 60 to 45 and rain.  It ended up being 30 and snowing, which sucked since the reception was outside.  Just prepare for anything possible....

Well I am finding that anything is possible weather wise here in Denver. Snowy and cold one day to sunny and 65 the next. I guess the one thing I don't want is that crazy wind!

  • Haven't really been stalking the weather.  However, have been noticing that is has been suprisingly warm and pretty lately.  For a while we had rain for like a month straight.  That has seemed to go away we have it maybe once a week now.  The other day it was 76.  I actually am really hoping for temperatures between 50 and 60. No higher than 60.  I chose January mainly for the cold.  I would be HAPPY if it were cold.  I wouldn't even mind the rain since I am getting ready the place of the ceremony and wouldn't have to step out in it at all.  It would just cause driving issues for some people.  But I really hope it cools down a little. Or it is just an overall pretty day!!!

About the snow.  The minute we hear it's coming around here things close down.  Of course if we get 1/2 an inch everything is closed the next day.  We are definately not used to it around here!!

Great advice! I've already got back up plans in place in case the weather turns rainy.

  • The weather has been so nice here, I know our annual winter storm (we usually only get one a year) is holding out for the 28th... We don't even get pretty snows, just icy, slushy messes.... fingers crossed though.
  • I honestly just want it to get cold so there can be snow on the ski slopes, but somehow I feel like it will be 50 degrees anyway. The ski resort has only been open like 3 days this season. They are finally starting to open up some of the trails. If anyone wants to look around.
