Opinions please

My dress is pretty simple and our wedding is going to be leaning towards the vintage side.  Very classy, yet simple, outdoor in my mom's best friend's backyard.  Here's my dilemma!  I really really really, did I mention really?! want to wear a fun headpiece and a birdcage veil, but don't know if it might be too much.  I have really full naturally curly hair and plan on wearing it down, pinned back to one side with the headpiece and veil.  Would it be too much for what we have going on? 
I am thinking something along these lines.....

but my hair is muuuuch fuller and curlier and slightly longer. 

Here's a picture of the dress....

strapless simple, flowy but with a little marilyn monroe esque vintage feel.

    I don't think it would be too much.  It looks like it would be a perfect fit to the dress.  I think your dress is sort of like old hollywoodish style (from what I can see in the picture) and when I think of that I think of anything bird cageish.  I hope that make sense.

    That hairstyle is very pretty with the birdcage veil. The only thing with me is you said your hair is much fuller, I'm not sure if it would look as pretty with thicker hair. I just can't picture it in my head, maybe you should do a trial?

    It'll be pretty!  Just make sure not to overdo the headpiece.  A simple flower or feather or a few rhinestones, then a loose netting, and it'll be beautiful!

    FI's overbearing aunt wants to take me out to some vintage bridal stores here in town and go look...think she wants to pay too ;)  so maybe in January I will take her up on that.  I will post some pics....yeah, my hair can get quite large!

    Yeah try a bunch on and have fun with it!! I definitely think the dress can support a headpiece like that, just make sure you find one that works with your hair :)
