Ok, I've been creeping on The Knot for a while now, but my boyfriend popped the question yesterday, December 5
It was our 4 year anniversary.
We had looked at rings a few months ago but i didn't know he was planning anything. We ate an anniversary lunch, which he was fine through, but then he started acting kind of sketchy and nervous. We drove around and ended up at our high school. I was confused but he held my hand and took me inside to the theater. He led me next to some seats, got down on one knee, and said 'Liz, will you marry me? This is where we first met." And then it hit me that we had began our budding romance in that theater a little over 4 years ago
He had talked to the superintendent of our school system earlier in the week and got permission to be there and everything. Then - another surprise - our parents had been hiding in the sound booth! They popped out and me and my mom had a good cry and it was lovely.
It was very thoughtful and romantic
I am so excited to be engaged!!! AHHH!!
Well that's my story. A few random facts - i am almost 20 and my fiance (!) is almost 21. we are both in college and are gonna set the wedding date for after graduation sometime. We are high school sweethearts
