Outdoor Wedding Venues?

I'm looking for an outdoor wedding venue that will allow outside catering. I am getting married July 12, 2014.
I've checked the Metro and Oakland County parks, but they both have catering contracts.
I am on a very tight budget of $5000 for about 150-200 people and want to have a BBQ (pig roast) as my main meal, but I can't find a venue that will allow it!

HELP!

Re: Outdoor Wedding Venues?

  • Have you looked into campgrounds or city parks?

  • We were up against the same sort of thing.  We booked with Goldner Walsh in Pontiac.  Look them up on Facebook, they don't seem to have a regular website.  They have outdoor spaces or you could use their greenhouses, so outdoor feel without having to worry as much about the weather.

Another option is Upland Hills Farm near Addison Oaks.  They are very relaxed and would allow a pig roast too.

Royal Oak Farmers Market has events and has the outdoor vibe.  Camp Skyline in Almont or Drayton Plains Nature Park in Waterford are other bugdet friendly locations.  Good luck!
  • In Livonia, Michigan they have Greenmead Historical Park . They  have an option of a garden wedding( for a fee of course) you hire your own caterie. They have a web site We got married in the historical church in the park. Very vintage and nice.
  • Well, selecting wedding venue depends on every individual tastes and preferences. You must be sure to opt for a malibu wedding venues that perfectly suits the event . A malibu wedding venues would make you feel right at a more standard site.
