Who has been on a cruise?

I need help deciding what to bring to wear.  We will be gone 5 days to the yucatan in mexico. I have never been and Have no clue what to bring for myself and FI.

    I'd bring a dress for most nights, 2 swim suits, 2 cover-ups/sundresses, 1 athletic outfit, 1 outfit for travel, 1 sweater.  That's it.

    For a five night cruise, I would bring at least one fairly nice dress for dinner.  You can bring cute sundresses or outfits that are a little more casual for the rest of the dinners.  For during the day, definitely swimsuits & cover ups and shorts/shirts with comfortable shoes if you plan to do any sightseeing excursions.

    And yes, I agree also that you should probably bring at least one pair of jeans or pants and a sweater or jacket if you plan to spend any time at all outside in the evenings.

    For your FI, I would say one pair of dress pants and a shirt & tie for one dinner, then pants and normal shirts for the rest of the dinners.  And again, the same as you for during the days.

    I brought a different dress to wear every night for dinner. They have some nights that are "formal night" dinners, and I brought fancier dresses for those nights, and FI wore a suit.

    Def bring jeans and long sleeves for at night - it IS chilly on the boat deck when the sun goes down.

    Bring comfy clothes to wear while you are touring the islands - shorts, tennis shoes, tanks.

    Of course any swimwear you will want.

    1-2 dresses for a formal night(s) some cruises have one and some have two

    A couple long sleeve shirts for if you choose to stand on the top of the boat at night. It get's windy.

    Jeans depending on if you are cold more. I am usually cold so when I was in areas like the casino, I would wear jeans and a nice top.

    Mostly warm clothes though.
