Inexpensive Vases?

So I've decided to create my own centerpieces (am I crazy?) and I'm despretely looking for inexpensive vases. I'm looking for tall (about 12-16") cylinder vases that about about 4" wide. I am going to need about 20 of them. Anyone know of any good websites I could buy/rent these at a reasonable price?? Any suggestions would be appreciated!! Thanks girls!! Good luck planning!

Re: Inexpensive Vases?

  • Have you tried an online party or event supplier? If you want them engraved send me a message I know someone who does that kind of work and ships nationwide.

  • The dollar tree around my area has some vases (i think you can also buy from them online). I think they are a little smaller like 7.5" by 3.5" or so, but if you cant find anything, this is worth a look!

  • Agree with PP.  Any of the dollar stores work great.  Also, not sure if there is one around you anywhere, but Old Time Pottery has TONS of vases and awesome prices.

You are not crazy at all!  I just helped one of my friends create her own centerpieces and she said everyone was arguing over who got to take them home, so they will turn out great!

Koyal Wholesale has lots of ribbons and great wedding things that might be fun for you to check out.

Also, are you getting yoru flowers in bulk?  If so, COSTCO has an awesome selection and are very comparable in price, too!
  • I am actually doing the same thing right now!  Start looking at TJ Maxx and Ross type stores.  I found 3 this weekend, 24 inches tall for $7.00, much cheaper than Hooby Lobby or Michaels.  Even the rental companies I have contacted wanted to charge upwards of $15-20 to rent.  Good Luck!
  • Thanks so much ladies!! Very helpful tips!! And BMSawa, thank you for confirming that I'm not crazy!! haha

  • Save on crafts is a decent site and then there is this one
http://www.eventswholesale.com/-strse-935/4%26quot-scln--x-16%26quot-scln--Cylinder/Detail.bok but the shipping was too steep for me to buy from them.
I ended up going to IKEA since I wanted square vases. You also might want to check craigslist and the classifieds on here, I always see past brides trying to get a few bucks back for their decorations.
