Looking for a few venue suggestions

FI and I began our wedding venue search last weekend.  We'd like to get married in late March 2014.  We're looking to spend about $100pp (w/ tax&gratuity), anticipate about 120 guests, and are flexible with Sat/Sun, time of day, etc.  We really would like a venue that is somewhat unique with exposed beams, ironwork chandeliers, maybe even at a golf course?  Because we have so many OOT guests, we’d like to be within an hour of an airport.

We’ve looked at Lake Valhalla Club, Neshanic Valley Golf Course, Farmstead Golf Course, and Black Bear Golf Course at Crystal Springs. We LOVE Black Bear right now; it’s perfect for us.  FI and I are worried that there’s another venue out there that may be more perfect that we just haven’t seen yet.  We are having a hard time believing that we found “the one” on only the fourth appointment.

Are there any suggestions for a “must see” venue that fits our criteria?

[QUOTE]Don't make wedding planning harder than it has to be. Since you are looking for something specific it isn't surprising you found something you love quickly, you already weeded out all of the places that didn't fit your vision.

Agreed! There's so much else to be done, if you love a venue and it's available and in the right price range...jump on it!

  • We knew what we were looking for and weeded out those venues that didn't fit the bill prior to any venue visits.  We booked the 2nd venue we visited on the spot and canceled our other appts.  Why waste time when it's exactly what you're looking for?
  • I agree with the others.  If you found what you're looking for at the right price take it!

If you think about it  you actually ruled out alot of places just by looking at pictures or price ranges without even realizing it.  You picked what you thought were the 4 best, and one of those is exactly what you want.  Don't over think it.
  • Thank you all for your advice!
