Yellow Shoes for Maggie Sottero Karena Royale

Hi everyone!

Like so many others out there, I'm struggling to find elegant yellow shoes. Too many are just cheesy or too casual. I'm struggling to make my decision, so I was hoping that some of you other brides out there could help me try to decipher what shoes would go well with my dress.

My dress is a Maggie Sottero Karena Royale in ivory with an ivory sash. (I jusfound this pic on google.)

I purchased Nina Culver shoes from amazon, but they are a bit too tight for my feet.

I also recently saw these bow-topped slingbacks from BHLDN. They are admitedly a brighter yellow and more expensive than the Nina's, but I think they look lovely.

Any opinions of which shoe might go better with my dress selection?

First of all, I really like your dress! I love the belt around it and the sparkle in the lace. It is very "my style" as well so I just really am so jealous! lol You look really pretty in it. I LOVE the shoes that you purchased, so shame that they are too small for your feet. I wonder if anything can be done to stretch them? I guess you're not able to return them for a larger size?

I prefer them over the bow-topped sling-backs that you have found. I really like the bow detail, but I think that I just don't love that shade of yellow as much as the ones above.

I don't know if I LOVE the peep toe or the heel but I really like the colour and the price is awesome.

Just how tight are the Ninas? I read this tip on here to stretch shoes and it sounds like it's worth a shot. You fill a ziplock bag with water (the poster recommended doubling up to protect against possible spillage), put the bag in your shoes and then put everything in the freezer. As the water freezes it will expand and stretch your shoes.

If you like everything else about the Ninas except them being too tight, I think I'd either exchange for a different size or width or try to stretch them like PP said. I think they're cute, I like the open toe and d'orsay style. I also like that their heel seems a little lower, which will probably be more comfortable over the whole day.

I do really love the saturated color of the BHLDN shoes. like, a lot, and I love the bow. I really like a statement shoe, and this one is definitely more of that. However, that's a 4 inch heel with almost no platform, which could get really uncomfortable, and I've not heard great reviews for that store's shoes' comfort from people I know that have bought them.

Thanks, everyone, for your responses! Good find, kateguess22! And really cool tip, Johan&Kimmie! I think I'll do that once I for sure settle on a shoe (but I don't wnat to stick anything in the freezer until I am 100% positive!)

I might return the Nina Culvers anyway because I found a scuff mark and smudge on one of the shoes. Maybe I'll go to Nordstrom or something and try them on in person to see if it was just this pair that didn't fit properly. (Plus then I can inspect the shoes more carefully.)

As far as heel height, I do fine in heels of any height (acutally, lower ones tend to hurt my giant monkey toes faster). Plus I'm 8" shorter than my hubby-to-be. So that's not as much of a concern as it might be for other knoties out there.
