bouquets

I am thinking about not doing a bouquet for myself to carry down the isle.

I have seen some brides on 4 weddings not have them and I kind of like the idea of not having one.

what do you think about the idea?

i carried a bouquet, but my mom didnt when she got married.  She opted to carry a white missal, and she had a set of rosary beads wrapped around the missal.  i believe she had a wrist corsage, but honestly, id have to look at her pictures again.

i contemplated not carrying one.  seemed like a lot of money for something that was really just a photo prop.  had we not gotten a good guy discount at a florist who is also a friend of ours, i migth not have done one or just gone grocery store.

I'm carrying one, but I love flowers, generally, so I can't imagine not having one. That said, I don't think it is a make or break deal in any way. It really isn't particularly necessary, but I think flowers are pretty.

M carried a traditional bouquet with a small missal that her great grandmother carried on her wedding day that was bound with the fabric of the BM gowns.

Now that I think about it, my mother and my aunt carried it as well.  I have no idea why my generation was skipped but it was handed on to me by my aunt when she found out our daughter was getting married.

I'm carrying a bouquet because I love flowers.  But you don't have to.  For example, Donald Trump's wife Melania carried only a white rosary in her right hand because she felt a bouquet would cover the intricacies of her dress.

You could also go subdued.  Princess Grace of Monaco carried just a tiny bunch of lily of the valley.

I carried a bouquet, but is was not large at all. I didn't want it big bc I have small hands. And it even had some fake flowers in it to cut down on the cost.

My florist wrapped my Grandmother's rosary around my bouquet as well.

I carried a bouquet.  My mother used to be a florist, so she'd planned on making my bouquet since I was a girl.  You certainly don't need to carry anything, although the bouquet keeps you from fidgeting while you're walking down the aisle.

<div>You could also have a Miraculous Medal around your bouquet as well.  It's less clunky and also very meaningful.</div>

I didn't carry a bouquet down the aisle. Our tradition is to carry a candle symbolizing your baptism and the light of Christ, while you hold hands and the priest covers them with his epitrachelion (stole) and leads you in, symbolizing following Christ.

I did have a bouquet for pictures. But I made them myself and my girls from grocery store flowers the day of the wedding.
