Alfred Angelo-Danvers Mass

Hi Girls!  I just wanted to let you know about the terrible experience I have had with this store.  They forgot to order one of my bridesmaid dresses.  When she went to pick it up, and they didnt have it...they offered to ship it to her house.  A month went by, no call...no dress.  She called, they had the dress.  They needed reminders to ship it.  Whatever, no big deal...all worked out.  I was supposed to have my first dress fitting today...I called to confirm...no record of me in the computer!  I had an appointment card and everything.  I talked to the manager, she wasnt accommodating at all.  I could not be more fed up...I will not go back to this store.  If I even give Alfred Angelo the honor of altering my dress, I will go to the Dedham location.  IM DONE!  Girls...please please dont go there.  I dont want you to have the stress and frustration that I am going through!

Re: Alfred Angelo-Danvers Mass

  • Thanks for the heads up!  I have heard similar things about that store.
  • No problem! Its really too bad. Their dresses are beautiful!!
  • Their dresses are very beautiful. I've been in that Danvers store twice, but not to buy a dress but accessories. The customer service was all but non existent. Each time I went in there, there was no one watching the front, offering to help...or even there to allow me to purchase my items. I had questions and was dismissed (I believe) because I wasn't there to buy a gown. If you really like their dresses but don't want to go into the store or go to their other location, other bridal shops sell their dresses. My girls all wore a beautiful bridesmaids dress that was Alfred Angelo but they purchased it elsewhere as the Danvers store wasn't yet opened. It's really too bad they are like that because other Alfred Angelo stores aren't. I live in Los Angeles and they were so wonderful to work with!!

  • I also had an awful experiance at the store in Danvers.  There customer service was horrible.  I was lucky and didn't order my dress from there, but they were so nasty in there.
  • I had a really lovely expereince at that store, but I think it was the sales person I had.  I'm sorry I don't remember her name, or I would put it here.  If you want a better expereince, make sure you call and make an appointment, and try to schedule it for earlier in the day.  By 3:00 the place gets crazy!

Also, most stores like this ship out their alterations to actually be done.  (The measurements and pinning take place there, but the sewing is done somewhere else.)  I far prefer going to a local (and independent) store for the personal touches.
  • I got my dress at the Dedham location and they have so far been very accomodating, I would definitely go there!  The customer service is great.  My dress fitting is in a few weeks and I received confirmation on it already.
  • Also got my dress in Dedham. Have been in there 3 times and have had great experiences there. Had a similar awful experience at David's in Dedham though. Will never step foot in that store again!!! Good Luck!!
  • My moh got her dress there our first appointment we got no help at all!! WE were there on time not late or anything and we were looking into 5 dresses but they were to busy helping a walk in who was getting more attention then we were getting. I was also looking at a dress for myself by the time we were done with the rude women I was standing right near the counter calling davids bridal for an appointment for myself. They got me right in and were very helpful. I only had plans on looking at dresses but I found my dress right then and there. Then when it came time to go back to alfred angelos for her actual ordering of her dress she wanted to see if everyone else wanted the same before she ordered hers once again she had an appointment and it took me to say forget this we will just go to davids before they would even help at all..
