  Just got engaged a little less than two weeks ago, 1/6/10.
  
  Nick and I had a trip planned to the Happiest Place on Earth, Disneyworld!
  
  The second day of our trip he got down on one knee in front of Cinderella's Castle and proposed at sunset. My friend had the video camera rolling and got the whole thing on tape. She didn't even know it was going to happen. He had the ring on him all day and had planned to wait on fireworks that night, but knew that was the moment. He said that then we could keep that moment forever, and even our kids could see it.

  Hi Annie,
  
  My (now) fiance and I got engaged last June after we finished watching Season 1 of The Amazing Race on DVD.  It gave me the idea of making an amazing race of my own for her to complete with tasks from dates we'd been on over the past 2 1/2 years that we had been dating.  I had friends of ours in on it as well.  She was under the impression that the girls were going to meet her for brunch, go to a local winery, go on a hike (I needed a reason for her to change into non-dressy clothes), and then she was supposed to meet me to go to a minor league baseball game that night... She had no idea what she was in for .
  
  Just like in the show one of the three friends (who is known for bringing out a camera at random times) video taped & edited the whole experience for me.  I also made the clues ("Route Info", "Route Markers", "Road Blocks", and "Detours") that were similar to the ones in the show.  I was always about 30 min-1 hour ahead of them setting up the race and I received text messages from the girls letting me know how it was going and how fast she was getting through it all.  
  
  The last of 5 clues sent her to where our first date was and I got the chance to surprise her with the ring.  Now I would have uploaded the videos to YouTube, but they have a thing for songs in videos that you don't own... Sooo I found an alternate site for you to view them (they are split into 3 video links because the whole edited thing is 27 min long).  Enjoy!

  Our weekly ritual was to go to open mic night so Andy could sing! So when he said he was inviting a lot of people that week to come watch, I thought NOTHING of it! I got home from classes that day not looking my best, so I threw on an OLD sweatshirt *from high school that said BEER BONG CREW* and a pair of jeans! I noticed him and his 7 year old son talking and looking at me so I knew they were up to something! I kept asking what was said and neither would say anything! We get to open mic and we drop Andy off to get his stuff ready, and I take Nick to get something to eat! On the way, I knew I could make a 7 year old spill. He said he couldn't tell me because it would hurt his daddy's feelings.. but he was going to sing me a song! So I left it at that because he always sings me songs! So we're back at open mic and EVERYONE is there! The guy who usually records the singing was taking pictures of me and my friends.. I found that a little strange but I smiled away! Andy and his friend Bryon go on and they sing a song! Then Bryon gets off stage and Andy starts talking... then looks at me and says "Jennifer, come here"... NOOOO!!!! I didn't want to get on stage! So finally when I was pushed to get up there he sings to me, still not thinking anything at all other than "I cannot believe I'm up here wearing this!!!" So after the song, I gave him a smile and I was backing up to get off stage when I turned around and he was on 1 knee! I was so shocked and surprised, and MAD that he let me wear what I was wearing haha! I gave him a hug and said "I'm going to kill you I'm going to kill you.. YES YES YES!!!"
  
  So here's the video! I'm a lucky girl to be able to watch my proposal every day!
