*Inexpensive Videographer Recs*

Hi girls!
I originally thought that I did not want a videographer because everyone told me it would be a waste.  I've been thinking more about it and I really do want to have at least the ceremony on video.  I do not need anything fancy and was hoping someone would be able to reccomend a reliable person who doesn't charge too much! We are already spending a ton on pictures and I don't care as much about the video!
Thanks,
   Devin

I am using my DJ's company to do our video.  I didn't have a lot of money to spend on this.  You can find more info on his website www.jdthemobiledj.com. Good luck w/your search!  He was by far the cheapest I could find.

I'm in the same boat, devinrl. I didn't think we needed one either, but now, 6 months from the date, I am scrambling to move money around so I can pay for someone to video at least the ceremony. I've been looking on Craig's List and reading through reviews on weddingwire.com (my bible for reviews). So far, I'm interested in "The Pros" (i booked my DJ through this company) and one other I found of weddingwire. I think the cheapest started at $500

My videographer, Susanne Bard, cost about $350, for 5 hours of video (ceremony and most of the reception). My wedding was just 2 weeks ago so I haven't seen the video yet, but truthfully all I wanted was for it to be recorded for posterity! She was very professional, both before the event and during the wedding & reception.

The price doesn't include any editing, she just records and then puts all the footage on DVD. She does break things into chuncks, with a table of contents. I figure I can have it edited later, if we want to spend money on it.

She doesn't do a ton of weddings, it's very much a side business for her, but here's her web site: http://bardpro.blogspot.com/
