  Summertime tends to be rainy. A lot. Every day. Everything will be sunny and beautiful, then you''ll have a big downpour at like 3 p.m., and then it's beautiful and sunny again by 4.
  
  Now, that being said, weather is always unpredictable. This past summer, it rarely rained, and when it did, it rained all day long. June usually isn't as bad as July or August, but this past summer was also the hottest summer on record. In other words, who knows? I would have a backup plan just in case - which I would recommend for ANY outdoor wedding pretty much anywhere, but especially in Florida, no matter the time of year.

  I definitely agree with PP. I am a native here and in the summer, it rains. A lot. Everyday. (with the exception of this past year). And it's hotter than hell, like seriously, very hot. And even if it's not raining at the time of the ceremony, it probably has earlier in the day and the humidity will kill you. I would really consider having something inside.

  Sarasota and West coast of FL generally very very hot in July, it's not as much heat as humidity that will kill you. If you want beach ceremony, make sure it's quick, you don't want your guest to sit and sweat, have lots of water for them to drink too. As far as rain, i used to set my clock on 4pm, it rained at that time every day, not so much now, so it's kind of a wild guess LOL.
  
   Have you thought of the venue ?

  Totally agree with the PPs.
  
  But that's not to say you CAN'T get married here in the summer.  We did.  We're both teachers and it was fabulous to have June to plan, July to be married and go on the HM, and then two weeks in August to come back and get some things settled before the next school year started.
  
  But I took my dress to the ceremony location and got dressed THERE - no way to get dressed at home, then go to the car, then ride to the ceremony location, then get from the car to the venue's door, etc.
  
  And we had the ceremony and reception in the same place - absolutely no one would get dressed up and then go to a TWO-place event in the summer.
  
  And after the photographer asked me to go outside for some "trick photos" like posing with a golf club on the hole nearest to the country club building, I finally turned to him and said, "Look.  I chose to get married on the hottest day in the hottest month of the year in the hottest location in the U.S.  I am just NOT going outside for pictures.  Not now, not later on.  No outside pictures.
  
  That said, if I were you, I would choose another location (like Mackinac Island in MIchigan which is close to you) or another time of year to get married here, like Thanksgiving break or MLK weekend in January.
