Home Depot Registry?

Has anyone registered at Home Depot? I think it would be really nice to get a better selection of tools and other things, but I briefly looked and saw they only offer in-store registering. I'm not a fan since I LOVE online shopping, but I'm looking for others' inputs and thoughts!! TIA!

  • Ditto retread.  Keep in mind that craftsman tools are guaranteed for life - I know my dad has basically bought one hose ever and keeps returning it for a new one every time it wears out.  I think you can also register and shop online for Sears.  That said, home depot does have a bigger variety, but it's in-store local only.

I've heard from brides on here it was kind of a hassle and not as easy as the registries in Target, BB&B, Macy's etc.

  • We registered at Home Depot.  It is a pain.  You have to write down the SKU numbers instead of scanning.  The registry is not availble online. However, it was well worth it.  I've owned my home for 5 years, so there was only so much we needed at Bed, Bath and Beyond.  With the Home Depot registry, we received a lot of cool gifts (lights for the garden, etc) that we needed for the house. The best part was that we also received a lot of Home Depot gift cards that we used towards the purchase of a new oven.
