FI hasn't been practicing our choreography for our first dance so we decided to practice before class tonight - he stepped on my toes about 6 times. He has the most apologetic look on his face when he does it though - how do you get mad at that type of cuteness????
Meanwhile, my dog found that if you're startled while trying to drink out of the pond, getting out is harder than falling in
Happy news: There were national TV crews at my school today! A co-worker of mine has been nominated for LIVE! with Kelly's national teacher award and they came to film at school today. (She'll be on the show on May 15 if anyone's so inclined to watch.) She's an awesome science teacher and so deserving of this award! The kids were all abuzz with excitement today and actually behaved really well instead of acting all goofy in front of the cameras. You never know how high school students will respond to something like that, haha.
Oh, and Urchin - that chipmunk story is hilarious!!
My FI taught our dog, Rhys, how to pound fists. It's adorable.
Also, FI and I got our marriage license today, and then drove to lunch separately because he was going back to work afterward. I locked my keys in my car, and we had to drive all the way back home, at which point I grabbed HIS spare key and not mine......so after leaving, we had to come back. I felt like an idiot. And then before we left to get my key, he wanted to drop off his briefcase at work, so all of his coworkers now know I locked myself out of my car.
My German hunting dog (puppy) decided to have 5 minute standoff with what looked like a squirrel with some disease on our walk today. He lounged and I tried to scare the squirrel to get it to move but the damn thing stood it's ground so after 5 minutes of trying to get it to run, and/or pull my 83 lb puppy in the other direction it finally lept into a tree. All I kept thinking was wow those rabies shots are gonna hurt!

Winston is now sitting next to FI, licking his arm in a way that says "I must clean you according to my standards, clean, clean, clean" He won't stop, no matter how many times FI or I move him. He keeps going back to FI's arm.

I'm sure the third bird flew off somewhere, but I really hope there wasn't a scruffle with the chipmunk. We might move the birdfeeder, it's close to our front door.

Thankfully one of the neighbors was home and heard the screaming, he came into the house running with a gun, and that is when the chipmunk left the house. I'm sure it was very funny to see.

<div> </div><div>YAYon getting your marriage license!</div>
Since I hardly post on here.. i'll share the news on here (since it's drama free) and on fb.. we got our marriage license today yeayyy lol sorry i'm just too excited!!
Yay for the marriage licenses! We're getting ours this Friday
On a funny...maybe sad note...my daughter is shoving our poor cat into her little toy cube with blankets saying that it's bed time and she needs to lay down (obviously trying to boss someone else around since I was just telling her to do the same thing awhile ago)... FI has been alseep for a couple hours and so the little one and I are watching Jumanji on Netflix
LOL. I'm glad we have such easy going pets. Our dog and cat absolutely love our daughter even though she does some crazy things to them. Just the other day, I walked into her room becuase she had her door shut, with both animals in there and it was TOO quiet.
Lo and behold, there was dog fur ALL over the place and in the middle of her floor were scissors she snuck out of the drawer. She decided that since Sushi (our dog) had long fur again, she'd give him a hair cut. Her reason "MOM! Sushi needs to see and I helped him!".
There was a lot of drama in my family yesterday and I wanted to not even deal with it today. I went for a hike in the desert today (that's why I said in other posts I was in BFE) just to clear my mind and also be able to hear myself think.
I'm saying a speech about my grandma tomorrow at the celebration of life we're doing and I wrote more than half of it sitting on the sand next to a cactus with nothing around me for miles. It was great and I ignored my phone for most of it.
