::CW:: - disregard the pics aren't working

i think there's a difference between a bathing suit with spaghetti straps at the pool/beach vs a dress in a church.

Maybe, but that's not what you said. You said spaghetti straps are innapropriate for four year olds.
Countless BM dresses are strapless. Your own bm dresses had spaghetti straps, no? How do you figure that they are any more appropriate on an adult? IMO, an adult has more to show than a child anyways.
But I don't expect us to see eye to eye on everything. We can still be friends even though your kid will have sleeves and mine will be the hoochie in a spaghetti straps at age 4 ;)

haha no prob - i had pics of 2 bathing suits for girls sz 4-16 - one had spaghetti straps, but was essentially covered and the other was a zebra print bikini that looked like something I would have worn at 16 rather than 6.

It's def a question of taste - my bridesmaids had dresses where the spaghetti straps could be removed - i let them decide if they wanted to keep them or not. as, (i think) all of my bridesmaids are an A cup or a *really* small B - they don't have much more to show off than a 4yo, so that wasn't a concern. ;-) they also had wraps that they could use in church.

I think the catholic church has gotten a lot more lax on weddings - but used to be that the bride was supposed to wear sleeves - of course your former church is much more strict than my former church.

i think out FGs looked a lot better with the dresses we picked - they were sleeveless but had something like 1.5-2" straps.

your kids can be hoochies - as long as Wolverine keeps the goods covered, I'm fine.
