Cost of DJ and flowers?

I'm trying to make my budget...but I wanted to know what the general cost of flowers and a dj were. I found some dj'sfor $550 but are there any good ones for less then that? How much did you pay for flowers total?

DJs are a pretty standard price.  $550 seems pretty middle of the road/low.  ours was $900 and we were very pleased.  i know some newer DJs are around $100/hour.  maybe check with Byrne Rock?

flowers are totally dependent on your vision and how large your wedding party/guest list is.  we did ours for around $1500 and it was for 4 BMs, 4 GMs, 3 users, 3 moms, 3 dads, 170 ppl (so 17 table centerpieces), cake decorations, 2 alter arrangements, pew bows/flowers, toss petals for the exit.  obviously that number goes WAY up or down depending on the types of flowers you want (we told her to use whatever was in season/available that week in our color scheme, so she got a much better deal with the wholesaler since we weren't tied to certain flowers).  I did insist on lots of gerber daisies, but they aren't expensive flowers to begin with.

We are paying our DJ $500. Flowers will be $1200. This includes 2 alter pieces. I have 6 BMs, 6 groomsmen, 4 Ushers, 1 dad, 3 moms, 1 flower girl, 15 centerpieces, and an escort card table arrangement . I went with a simple, clean line look which brought costs down and I am using mokara orchids, calla lillies, hydrangeas and spider mums.

Our DJ is 850, booked through our venue. I only have people and cake flowers and they came to almost exactly $500.

I saved alot on flowers by going to Central Market Floral Department (main location).  Donna Foster, their floral designer, supplied me with incredible roses throughout the Caswell House, where I had my wedding.

In 2006, I paid $650, including delivery, for 3 arrangements (one of them a mantel piece with draping greenery), 5 centerpieces, bridal bouquet, 2 bridesmaids' bouquets, 2 boutonniere's, & MIL corsage.

Her prices were 50 - 66% cheaper than other flower quotes I received, and she gave me more flowers as well.

Hi everyone . . . would you mind posting who your DJ & Florist is with your rates? It would be really helpful. We don't have our heart set on anyone yet.

    Hi

I think the 550 and up is pretty much what everyone seems to be paying out in D.J service. We are hiring a D.J that is a local D.J on a radio station and he is $125.00 hr. I dont have a florest just yet does any one have any recomendations?
