Outdoor venue in the Chambersburg area??

My FI and I would love to have an outdoor wedding, but we are having a tough time finding a place in the Chambersburg area that is within our budget.  We would like to have the ceremony and the reception at the same place.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

I don't really know that area too well!  I'm sorry!!  I mainly checked places out in Hershey (really wanted to get married there but WAY too expensive), then Harrisburg and finally Lancaster which is where we ended up.  I wanted the same things you did though - an outdoor wedding and the ceremony and reception at the same site.  We found the perfect place in Lancaster - Riverdale Manor.

In Harrisburg I checked out Peter Allen House and Civil War Museum.  Tried Felicita Resorts because it looked very nice but couldn't get past the woman I talked to on the phone - she was very pushy and asked me several times if I felt like I could afford a wedding there...we didn't even bother making an appointment after that.

Be patient though - looking for a venue was my most stressful process so far.  Once that was done and out of the way, I was super excited and relaxed about everything else.  It'll fall into place!!

Good luck!  And I'm sorry I couldn't be more help...

I second Riverdale Manor in Lancaster!! It's absolutely beautiful and the prices is decent for the amazing venue.

Some other places: (Although this is Lancaster area)
Cameron Estate Inn in Mount Joy
    Lauxmont Farms in Wrightsville
    Pheasant Run Farms in Lancaster

It's still a small drive from Chambersburg but check out the Lodge at Blue Ridge summit.  We were married outside there and had our reception inside.. it's absolutely gorgeous!

Maybe check the chambersburg Country Club or Whitetail Ski Resort. I'm having my wedding in Chambersburg...I know it's hard to find Vendors in that area!
