I know some of you crafty DIYers have already made your blingy and wooden cake toppers (and have done a mighty fine job at that) but for those of you who have yet to decide on a topper or need some DIY inspiration, I've gathered a few ideas along with links to tutorials for you

Mine was actually made for me by one of the girls I've become good friends with on the DW board! She did an AMAZING clay cake topper for herself. I talked a bit about the ones I liked, but couldn't quite find the right one, so she made this one:

We are having a wine themed wedding so I was going to make my own out of wine corks. There are few nice interracial couple cake toppers and going custom was going to be way too pricey so I figured I could make a monogram "M" out of corks easy enough. At our cake tasting though, our baker suggested using a wine stopper with a monogram M on it instead. She found a beautiful one online (that she isn't charging us extra for!!!) and is going to use the same script as the monogram M she is putting on each cupcake!

I was thinking about getting a monogram topper from crafty eddy but those wooden people are so darn cute! I might try to DIY those and see how it turns out.

BMc-I LOVE yours, its just amazing! The dogs and cat(s) are adorable. I didn't notice the 2nd cat at first, i just saw the one "you" are holding and I can't get over how cute it is!!!!
She did a great job and I love how personal it is!

We are using flowers, my florist is awesome and threw a lot of things in at no charge, one of them being a topper of hydrangea for the cake! =D
