table name ideas

So we're trying to think of fun table names instead of numbers. We're thinking something with a MD/Baltimore theme. We're big O's fans so maybe O's players? Or maybe famous Balt places and icons? What do you think?

That would be cool: you could do Fells Point, Inner Harbor, M&T Bank Stadium..etc
We are doing names but places that mean something to us.....

I thought that was a good idea too but we need to come up with 18 or 19 things! A lot of tables!!

That's a great idea. We are doing places we've been... not just in MD. Such as Bahamas, Las Vagas, LA, etc with a picture of us there!

I like the table names that mean something to the couple - like places in Baltimore, places you've been, etc.  We did Seinfeld episodes - DH's favorite show.  Everyone loved them.

My one piece of advice - on the place cards, and even on the tables, include numbers.  So, each place is associated with a number.  This way - the tables are in some coherent order and easy to find.  Some of the older guests seem to have trouble finding tables and reading the names, so matter how big they are - but if there are numbers, they'll seem to be in order.  Does that make sense?

For example - each person's place card just had a number.  Joe Smith - table 7.  And then, at each table, was a picture frame with the number and the Seinfeld episode we assigned to it.  I do believe there are pictures in my planning bio.  If not...I can send it to you if you'd like.

    19 Baltimore landmarks? Let's see...
Fells Points, Inner Harbor, Harbor East, Canton, Federal Hill, M&T Bank Stadium, Camden Yards, The Hippodrome, 1st Mariner Arena, Little Italy, Brewer's Hill, Patterson Park, Cross Street Market, Lexington Market,

Crap, I can only come up with 14 right now. Maybe add in your favorite restaurant, apartment building you've lived in, universities (if you or your FI attended any in the city), or any other places in the city that are personal for you - like I could do the MDSPCA because we are involved there and go to all of their events.

I really like this idea, in case the list I just rambled off didn't quite express my excitement. :)

My fiance and I are doing the same thing. We are going to have pictures of ourselves at Baltimore landmarks holding up a table#. The guests will have to match their  card to their table (pictures will be on the cards). I figured it will make them much more interactive and fun.

    Highlandtown/Greektown.

I did song titles with the word "Love" in them. I think there's a sample in my bio.
