I went dress shopping!! : )

On Saturday I FINALLY went shopping for my wedding gown. The entire ride there I was trying to not get crazy excited, I can get really annoying when I am very excited so I was trying to spare my mom and sister lol. Anyway, we got to the shop and in about 10 minutes I had picked about 7 gowns that I wanted to try on. Once I tried them on though, I didn't feel anything. I just felt like I was playing dress up or something. I didn't feel "bridal". Did any of you ladies feel let down at your lack of feeling about being in wedding gowns for the first time?

Congrats on your first dress shopping experience! I definitely felt like that the first time that I went. Every dress I put on was just okay... I wasn't getting that feeling. When I went shopping the second time it was like everything clicked for the atmosphere and experience at the shop to the types of gowns I was trying on. I didn't have one of those emotional crying moments like some brides have, but I was defintely feeling myself and excited when I found her! I hope that you will a "bridal" moment soon and find your dress!

I totally understand. Dress shopping for me was fun but exhausting. My first time I felt I was just playing dress up too. By probably my 2nd or 3rd trip, I knew what I wanted & what I was looking for. It became easier & I started enjoying it. Hopefully the next time, you'll find "the dress". Good luck.

Thanks! I think I was just so excited to finally be looking for my dress that I wasn't actually focused on the dresses.

I felt the same way. My mother just got married so when we went we both agreed that we had more fun watching the other try on dresses. But I did learn what I liked and didn't like and was a able to find my dress right away.
