Engagement ring on his list!

Some of you know that I'm not engaged yet and have been anxiously awaiting a proposal for ages now. Mr.Owl and I both have full time jobs (for about 2 years now), have a sizeable savings and have lived together for about 3 years. We talk about engagement and our future openly and often.

We were looking over his list of upcoming projects, or 'list of scary things' as he calls it, this weekend. on his list were things like figuring out his health insurance, doing taxes, searching for a new apartment and ENGAGEMENT RING!

i've seen his list of upcoming projects before but e-ring has never been an item before. I don't know why it surprised me so much but seeing it on his list of projects in his handwriting was so exciting.

I can't wait to go ring shopping together (something we've discussed for awhile). i am so ready to marry my love.

Yay!!! That is awesome!

My happy things: our invitations have been shipped to us!!! And, I ordered a rubber stamp with our address on it from etsy, and it should arrive today!

That is so exciting!

Well, this week H and I are anxiously awaiting a job offer for a position he has applied for and had several phone interviews for. It is with the same company he currently works for, and would allow us to relocate back home to the central Ohio area (where we are both from) and really want to be. Everything sounds good and promising thus far, it is just that we have to wait for the actual offer.

We are both so ready to be out of this state and get back home. If he gets the position and we move back home, not only will it be more money, but it will allow me to go back to school which I put on hold when I moved here. :::patiently waits:::

Thanks ladies. We are praying and hoping as well. H says we should know something by the end of the week. If we do, I will have a reason to celebrate this weekend.

Yay that is so exciting!!! Woo hoo ring shopping! @Missy I hope he gets the position. I moved to Virginia because of my fiancé's job and we are hoping to get back to Ohio at some point in the (hopefully) near future:-)

buckeyesweetz - I know what you mean. I have been down here nearly 2 yrs in June. I am not happy here since the whole school thing (long story) did not work out for me. To be honest, we neither of us are happy here. We just have tried to make the best of it. And we would like to be closer to family when we start a family of our own in a year or two.

That's so exciting, congrats! What style of ring are you going for?

Some happy things going on here: long story short, I went to perfusion school (perfusionists operate the heart-lung machine during heart surgery, so we literally keep the patient alive while the heart is stopped during the surgery) and graduated last May. I've had such a hard time finding a job in perfusion since I'm a new graduate and lots of hospitals/perfusion groups want someone with experience. I have an interview next week in the San Francisco area and I'm just hoping and praying I get this job. I've been on interviews before and haven't walked away with the job, so it's taken a mental toll. It's so stressful being unemployed! The good thing is that I've had nothing but time on my hands to do all of the wedding planning.
Also, when I went to the knot website today it said I have 130 days until the wedding! It's exciting but I can't believe it's coming so quickly!

thanks ladies! i joined the knot a few years ago when i was a first time bridesmaid. i changed screennames because i was an idiot and used my real name and have loved reading everyone's reviews and thoughts and experiences. i love this online community. thanks all for the happy vibes and good wishes!
