I had my shower in FI's hometown. I'll post some pictures when I get them back.

We took the weekend off from making jam, but we should be able to finish up our favors this week!

I also went over my to do list with my mom and she's going to try and help me out with as much as she can being in a different city. I'm just starting to stress that I'm forgetting something!!!

-My FMIL hosted a shower for me on Saturday. We got some really great items for our house!
-I moved into our house! We received our kitchen table and living room furniture. We still have so many more boxes to go through but we're getting there! I love having our own place

NWR: The kitchen cabinets are all painted! I am going over to FI's today to hang the last few doors that are drying. I will take pics then and share

WR: came up with a plan B for the sabre arch, tracked down a couple missing RSVP's, finalized the reception music

-We picked out some of the remaining gifts: FFIL, my dad, honorary MOG, ushers, and an added thing for the GM and BM.
-Found the candle holders for the unity candle
-Found vases to place on the cake table and the head table for flowers/bouquets
-Had my hair trial
-bought 2 cute sundresses for the HM

- Confirmed all the wedding cake details and payment arrangements with the baker.
- Confirmed a schedule with the pet sitters
- Finalized and printed all our programs
- Decided on the final look of the escort cards (starting on those today)
- Confirmed the itinerary for the OOT guests. They start arriving Saturday so I have to go over the rental property on Thursday.
- Sent an email to the DJ specifically listing a concern I had about a guest issue and making sure he would avoid it.
- Finalized all the guest menu choices for the RD. Sending them to that venue later today.

I'm beginning to get stressed though...can't even tell ya how much...

I found a dress for my bridal shower next weekend and a new bathing suit for the honeymoon. My FSIL also found her bridesmaid dress (I let them pick their own, as long as they were somewhat within some guidelines).. but get this.. she got it on clearance.. for TEN DOLLARS. She was super excited because now it means she'll be able to splurge a bit on some new shoes and accesories. I wouldn't necessarily have chosen the dress she chose, but it looks nice on her and she was excited about it (and can likely wear it again), so I'm happy!!

I'm calling later today to book the hotel room for our wedding night. We've got our honeymoon location booked already, but we need a place to stay overnight at the halfway point in our road trip.

I'm also awaiting the paypal email to pay the deposit on the wholesale flowers we're ordering. After a lot of research, I was able to find a location in Canada that's shipping us 30 stems of hydrangea and 160 stems of baby's breath for only $270. It'll be a lot of work to put it together, but it's saving us a minimum of $1000. The florists wanted $700 just for the flowers, let alone the arrangements.

YAY!

We had my best friend from college's baby shower and gender reveal party this weekend- it was a blast! Carter and I guessed right.... it's a girl! I am so excited for her!

I met with the seamstress on Saturday and picked out fabric for the flower girl dresses- they are going to be so adorable!! The fabric is dead on with my dress- love it!

-Found a dress for the rehearsal (wasn't even looking, but couldn't pass it up)
-Finished the outside of the programs (waiting to confirm the ceremony order with officiant before printing the insides)
-Made appt with hairstylist for the wedding day!
-Sent final payment to cake baker

-Finished my bridal bouquet and the remaining corsages

Mostly people - the DOC is five sentences away from being fired. He REALLY thinks I need to do a special dance with my bio dad which I really don't want to do but he won't drop it.

This identity theft thing is getting old and I had to go hire a lawyer.

My escort cards aren't even started yet.

My family is in town this weekend and that's a stressor right there all alone.

My MOH is pissed because I can't pick her parents up from the airport.

I need Therapy Thursday is all I'm saying because those are just the big things from this weekend.

FI helped write the thank you note in our programs, so I submitted that to be printed. He also spray painted our card box. Needs at least one more coat, maybe he'll spray it tonight. I emailed our venue manager the first meal count too, woohoo! Final count is due June 2nd.

I had a very productive WR weekend.

-ordered the rest of our candy for the candy buffet
-2nd alterations appt
-1st make up trial. We are doing another one soon and changing it a little bit. It's great because it's my cousin who sells Mary Kay that is doing it for me.
-Started "hounding" people for responses that are due tomorrow. Not really hounding, but more like reminding them.
-worked on the escort ribbon board
-worked on more escort cards (for the people I have responses for)
-Finished 5 of the hangers. Need to purchase 1 more hanger so I can finish my mom's.

Just remembered a few more:

-Sent in a check for the 2nd payment for our photographers. Last payment is due when we get the CD
-Emailed our venue about what the total owe would be if we only have the minimum (which that's what it's looking to be) of 140 people. Savings of almost $2,000.00!

It was such a productive weekend! I have to look at my crossed out to-do list to remember

-Emailed minister to finalize details
-Finalized program
-Picked music for FI and his mom to dance to (he did this, not me)
-Picked our entrance song
-Cut out 112 3" x 3" cards for our guestbook
-FI cut half of those 112 cards with fancy scissors...half to go
-Flowers finalized
-Made a list of must take photos, meeting with photographer on Friday to discuss
-Break in my shoes
-Wrote the email to communicate shuttle details with guests
-Bought a gift for my brother (usher) and my parents
-Bought wrapping paper for all the WP gifts
-Bought more Sharpies for guestbook

NWR:
-Went to brunch with FI
-Finished report cards
-Made dinner for a family in my school that is down on their luck
-Switched winter clothes to summer clothes in my drawers
-Cleaned the apartment
