How Long For Wedding Photos?

Hi all,

I was wondering what you all thought on how long it should take for wedding photos to come back? It has been 3 months since my wedding and I have not heard from my photographer. I emailed her over 3 weeks ago and haven't even gotten a response for that. All I wanted was a time frame and she can't even email me back. I really loved my photographer but I am getting a little irritated with her now. I was getting ready to send her another email, but wanted some feedback first. I knew getting my pictures back would take awhlie, but I didn't think 3+ months. Let me know how long yours took.

    I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to take that long.  I have been quoted at approximately 6-8 weeks with sample digital files uploaded on-line to keep me content until then.  I would try to talk to her again.  Maybe she is behind in her work due to outside issues but I would try to contact her again politely.  I know you are frustrated but try to be nice and understanding and hopefully she won't take her time out of spite. 

    I bet this is very frustrating and sorry you have to bother with tracking her down.

    6-8 weeks....Three months and not hearing from her in unprofessional.  Your photographer should be returning your inquiries.  Call her again and be polite, but very firm.  Sorry you're having trouble!

    that is wayyyy to long, usually turn aorund time is 2-3 weeks!

    That's too bad.  Was there a delivery time in your contract??

    My photographer has 8 weeks delivery and he also doesn't collect the remaining 40% payment until he delivers them either.

    I am a photographer and a bride to be and I would never take that long.
    I would give her a call.
    She is probably a little behind.
    I do tell clients that when they are looking for a photgrapher..they should always ask how long it will take to get them back.   Most people don't think to ask that question.

    That is a long time. I'd be concerned with the lack of communication. My contract states that I give my clients their proofs in 4-6 weeks. I normally five them in 3 weeks.
