Maui Wedding Planners/Coordinators

Hi all! I'm newly engaged (and new to this board!) and wanted to see if anyone could provide recommendations on wedding planners and coordinators in Maui. One of the places we're exploring for our special day is Olowalu Plantation House so any tips or recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Not sure if he works with that location, but he's been awesome for our small beach wedding.

I am getting married in 34 days at Olowalu!! I am using Cherise with Perfect Wedding Maui. Her website needs some work, but she has been a joy to work with over the last 17 months. Her prices are reasonable, she is always aware of budgetary constraints, and she is very organized.
There really are quite a few great coordinators, I'm sure the other girls can give some more recommendations!

No matter who you pick, just go for the one you click with.

Jane at Belle Destination Events was wonderful! I did a day-of package with her that was sooo much cheaper than paying the standard % of all wedding expenses.

I just got married about a month ago and also used Cherise of Perfect Wedding Maui - I cannot recommend her enough!!!

Cherise was so fantastic to work with, so incredibly organized, always got back to me within 24 hours, her prices for the amount of work she does are fantastic (she has a very reasonable flat rate and does not make commission off vendors), she gives you an updatable spreadsheet with your costs so you can keep track of where all your money is going, she works within your budget and is open to using different vendors in addition to the ones she recommends, she was so calm and patient and sweet and friendly....I could go on and on and on. Cherise is probably the biggest reason my day turned out as amazing as it did.

As someone else said, there are lots of coordinators on the island and I'm sure a lot of them are great but if you end up going with Cherise you will not be disappointed!!

Congrats on your decision to having your wedding in Maui, it will be amazing!!!

Just got married. I did it at Olowalu which was so amazing. My planner was Lori Lawrence with Tropical Maui Weddings. She was great to work with, does both full planner services as well as day-of. She does tons of weddings at Olowalu, so that is an advantage of working with her, she seems to have a running relationship with this venue. She charges flat rate for planning services, and doesn't charge the 20% of booking of vendors like I've seen by other planners. Of note, because of her flat-rate, she mainly is a good resource for vendors and great day-of planner, but not necessarily a planner who's going to plan the wedding of your dreams in terms of the look of the wedding -- I did a lot of my own DIY, which is fine because I loved all of that. Responsive to emails throughout the process.

Welcome! I didn't use a coordinator for my Olowalu wedding - we booked it through my caterer. Just throwing that out there as an option too. You don't HAVE to go with one if you're okay with doing the planning and research (and are organized) yourself.

We're just beginning our journey with Cherise but she has been so wonderful over the past couple months. We are probably the two most indecisive people in the world and she is SO patient with all of our questions and always emails within a couple of days.

I just got married on Maui at the beginning of August. I went with Kelly from a Perfect paradise Wedding. She was very helpful and her website is a great place to get ideas and inspiration for what you want your wedding to look and feel like. She was recently married on Maui so she knows the vendors from both ends of planning a wedding and seems to really know the locals. She and her staff were amazing the day of the event. She is super calm and patient. Everything went so smoothly and easily - I couldn't have asked for more! Such a gorgeous day!
